Roland Mobile Stereo amp. runs on 8xAA batteries or 9v adaptor. It has a decent sound quality, few effects and modes and most of the basic old fashion capabilities. Feels like solid unit.
I use it only with batteries it keeps running for at least 10 days of regular play without recharging. I have no 9v adaptor but if you need it you can use a standard one for pedals.
