Buzzards Field The Rhythmic 2024

This unique offering, is a wearable percussion instrument - 'The Rhythmic'.
Designed to be used by singers within a band or duo, it allows a rhythmic drumming beat to be played whilst singing.  It works in similar way a traditional stomp box or cajon - except the 'thump' representing the bass kick-drum is played on the right hand, and the 'snap' similar to the snare or hi-hat is played on the left drum pad. Thus you're free to move, stand upright and engage with the audience without bending over as with a cajon, or remain stuck to your spot as with a stomp.
The effect is similar to a stomp box pedal, but provides wider variety of sounds.  It provides two drum sounds directly, and is sensitive to dynamics in your playing (how hard and where on the drum pad it is struck).
It is designed to be worn with a belt, or a stap (not included) - or simply laid across your lap or on  tabletop if you do prefer to sit. It can be unplugged or silenced whenever not required during an interval. Although it is an electric instrument, no batteries are required.  However, it will require amplification via a standard instrument cable.
The Rhythmic is built entirely from robust laser-cut 6mm spruce, ensuring longevity and the resistance to stand up to regular performances, gigs and open mics.  Internally, sound is transmitted via a pickup in each drum, directly to a standard mono instrument output socket jack, such as you would find on an electric or acoustic guitar.  The drum pads are covered in super comfortable neoprene rubber.
As if these features were not enough, The Rhythmic is also extremely portable - weighing just 400g and collapsible to 16cm x 10cm x 9cm, meaning it will easily fit into any musicians gig bag, along side your favorite microphone.
As any cajon player will tell you, playing with your hands during a performance is very intuitive.  Your ability to create and maintain rhythms and beats will surprise you - its just like tapping the steering wheel or drumming on a tabletop.
