GLENSOUND Dark1616S 2020 - Black/Aluminium

This is a great 16 x 16 professional Dante interface. This is the 1616S (S stands for sample rate conversion). I bought this direct from the manufacturer and had this one modified by Glensound to accept both IEC mains input and 12v DC on 4 pin XLR for location work. Ordinarily it would have 2 IECs (primary and secondary) power inputs. It has redundancy (the good kind) everywhere... power, CAT5/6 and SFP/fibre ports.

The 16 audio inputs and outputs can either be analogue line level or AES3 (switched in pairs). This can be adjusted in the Glensound user interface. This software is PC only but it's a set and forget thing or at least it was for me. I'm a Mac user and it never bothered me as there's not much to adjust besides that.

These are great quality units. Built very well and with excellent customer service from Glensound as always... Not that I've ever had any issues with it whatsoever.

There is a little rack rash and minor scratches. The unit works perfectly.

I don't think Glensound are advertising these at the moment. It as very useful for me as I had to accept various unclocked AES3 inputs. As long as there's a digital input on input number 1, everything else will just work... no clicking or clocking issues.

My reason for selling is that I've had a rather major equipment revamp and it's no longer required.

There is no box any more and this unit comes with a CAT6 cable and an IEC cable as it was supplied to me. All inputs and outputs are on 25D pin connectors (audio cables not included) but I am a good wireman and am happy to make up custom looms for an extra reasonable charge.
