Awesome Mesa/Boogie Quad Preamp in very good condition with 2 footswitches.

The Mesa/Boogie Quad Preamp is one of the ultimate rackmount guitar preamps from the golden era of '80s and '90s rack rigs. Designed to package the core circuits of the MKIIc and MKIII into a 3U rack unit, it features 8 x 12AX7 tubes, two independent channels, four distinct modes, and all-analog tube signal paths.

The Quad Preamp houses 8 x 12AX7 vacuum tubes across an all-analog signal path. It effectively functions as two completely independent Mesa Mark-series preamps, giving users access to four distinct switchable voicings:

  • Channel 1 (Mark IIC+ Circuit):

    • Rhythm 1: Ultra-clean, high-headroom tone with glassy highs and tight lows (Fender Blackface style).

    • Lead 1: Smooth, liquid lead tone with focused mid-range compression and singing sustain—the classic Mark IIC+ sound.

  • Channel 2 (Mark III Circuit):

    • Rhythm 2: Edgy crunch tone with aggressive upper-mid gain, ideal for blues breakup and rock rhythm.

    • Lead 2: Aggressive, punchy, high-gain sound with faster attack and raw mid-range bit
