About this model

The Fulltone OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Drive) is an analog overdrive and distortion pedal built around a MOSFET-based clipping circuit using 2N7000 transistors and a TL082 dual op-amp. This Version 2 unit gains a Class A discrete 2N5457 JFET input section, raising input impedance to 1 Megaohm for a more transparent feel with passive pickups. A three-position HP/LP toggle lets players shift between High Peak mode - emphasising bass and upper mids for Marshall or Vox-style rigs - and Low Peak mode for a more open, natural response that suits Fender-style clean platforms. Version 2 also introduces switchable True Bypass and Enhanced (buffered) Bypass, eliminating tone suck and switching pop. The pedal accepts 9V-18V DC center-negative power or a single 9V battery; running at 18V increases headroom and reduces compression for a more dynamic, amp-like feel. Controls are straightforward: Volume, Drive, and Tone knobs cover the full range from light breakup to heavy distortion.
