Yamaha THR100HD two channel head and matching 2 x 12 cabinet

The Yamaha THR100HD is a compact, professional-grade 100-watt dual guitar amplifier head designed to deliver the flexibility and feel of a two-amp rig in a lightweight, portable format.

At its heart are two completely independent amplifier channels, each offering five Yamaha VCM (Virtual Circuitry Modelling) amp types: Solid, Clean, Crunch, Lead and Modern. The THR100HD combines these amp models with selectable power-amp characteristics, allowing the player to choose between EL34, 6L6GC, KT88, EL84 and 6V6 tube simulations and Class A or Class A/B operation.

The dual-amp architecture provides genuine A/B and A+B operation, making it possible to blend two different amplifier sounds, switch between them, or run both simultaneously for a much larger and more complex tone. The two signal paths have independent controls and can use separate inputs, making the THR100HD particularly well suited to stereo, wet/dry, or multi-amp setups.

Each amplifier also has its own gain, master, three-band EQ, presence, reverb and volume controls, together with an independently assignable booster. Additional processing includes reverb, noise gate and speaker simulation, with further configuration available through Yamaha's THR HD_H Utility software.

Despite its 100-watt output, the THR100HD weighs only 4.2 kg, making it considerably easier to transport than a conventional dual-head setup. It can drive one cabinet at up to 100 watts or two cabinets at 50 watts each, while selectable impedance settings support 4, 8 and 16-ohm speaker configurations.

The THR100HD also includes XLR line outputs, an effects loop, headphone output, USB connectivity and a dedicated footswitch connection, making it suitable for live performance, recording and studio applications.

Also included are a load of Ownhammer and Celestian IR's if the amp is going to be used without the cab and the XLR outputs going into a PC, PA or desk.
