Up for sale is an exceptionally honest, original 1963 Fender Jazzmaster body. Weighing in at a featherweight 4.0 lbs exactly, this is a remarkably light and resonant piece of Pre-CBS wood—a prime candidate for a high-end vintage restoration or a top-tier player project. 

The body has been cleanly stripped back to its natural alder wood, revealing a beautiful grain. Crucially, it has not been aggressively oversanded; the original deep body contours, sharp edge radiuses, and factory routing remain completely intact and unaltered. There are no humbucker modifications. It also includes the original vintage ground wire still intact.

Neck Pocket: Features the highly coveted factory "OK" inspection stamp, which remains partly legible. The neck pocket is textbook "half-painted," showing the original factory finish layers where the paint stick shielded the wood—definitive proof of authenticity.

Tremolo Pocket: Features the original production year "63" clearly pencilled inside the cavity by the factory worker. 

This body is structurally rock-solid, incredibly light, and ready to be built as-is or sent off for a period-correct nitrocellulose refinish. Authentic Pre-CBS wood with clear markings and this kind of weight profile does not come up often.

Finish: It looks like it originally left the factory in 3-Tone Sunburst. It has been stripped back to the natural alder wood. Faint remnants of the original finish remain in the cavities.
