For sale is my legendary 1987 Marshall Silver Jubilee JCM25/50 Model 2553, from the original Silver Jubilee era and Made in England.

The 1987 Silver Jubilee series has become one of Marshall’s most celebrated amplifier lines, famous for its distinctive British tone, powerful midrange, rich harmonics, aggressive crunch and singing lead sounds.

This Model 2553 is the compact Silver Jubilee head with switchable 25/50-watt output, making it a fantastic amplifier for recording, rehearsal and live use while still delivering the unmistakable sound and response associated with the original Jubilee series.

The amplifier has recently been taken to a professional technician for a full check-up to make sure everything is working correctly. It has been checked over and is currently working as it should.

Cosmetically, this is a genuine vintage 1987 amplifier and naturally shows signs of its age and use. There are various marks, scuffs and areas of wear to the white/cream covering, chassis and hardware, all of which can be seen clearly in the photographs.

I have deliberately photographed the amplifier in detail so that its condition can be assessed accurately. This isn’t being presented as a museum-condition amplifier—it is a genuine, played 1987 Marshall Jubilee with almost 40 years of history and character.

Most importantly, it has been recently professionally checked and is ready to be enjoyed.

The original Silver Jubilee amplifiers have developed a legendary reputation among guitarists and have become increasingly sought after. The 2553 is especially interesting because it combines the classic Jubilee circuit and tone with a more compact 25/50-watt format.
