The Technics SL-PS700 is a feature-rich CD player built around Technics' 1-bit MASH digital-to-analog converter, using the MN6474 chip with high-order oversampling and noise shaping to deliver notably clean audio. Outputs include analogue line-level at 2V and an optical digital output for connection to an external DAC or amplifier. The unit features a Silent Loading Mechanism with a swing-arm drive and a centre disc tray on a full anti-resonance chassis, aiming to minimise vibration during playback.
