A beautifully kept Eastman T59/v in Antique Red — professionally set up with fret crown and polish, so it plays like an absolute worldie (Milehouse Studios reference!), and looks every bit the vintage-inspired hollowbody it's designed to be.

Eastman's antique varnish process is what sets these apart from competing thinlines. Applied by hand, thinner than conventional lacquer, it lets the maple breathe and age naturally — visually it already has the kind of character that production-line guitars spend decades trying to acquire, and tonally it contributes real warmth and resonance. The Antique Red finish is the most distinctive of the colour options and photographs strikingly.

Having previously owned a Gibson 335, this is absolutely on-par, and at a much more palatable price.

The Seymour Duncan Antiquity humbuckers are the other headline spec — voiced for that warm, slightly compressed vintage PAF character that works beautifully in a hollowbody. Clear and articulate clean, smooth and singing on the edge of breakup, and even responsive to gain without the feedback issues a fully hollow body would present at volume. The Gotoh Relic hardware is properly aged nickel throughout — tuners, bridge and tailpiece all matching and all functioning perfectly.

The recent professional setup with fret level, crown and polish means the frets perfect, the intonation is dialled in, and the action is set at 1.85mm at the 12th fret (high e). A buyer wanting to replicate that work would spend £120 at a tech; here it comes done. Ships carefully from Cardiff, UK in the original hardshell case.
