The Mission:
Led by a retired technician with over 40 years of component-level electronics experience, Upstate Vintage Speaker Lab is dedicated to the meticulous restoration of vintage audio and electromechanical equipment. My goal isn't just to get gear working, but to ensure it meets or exceeds original factory specifications for the next generation of listeners.

The Lab Standard:
While I occasionally source high-quality "survivor" gear through package deals, the core of my work is technical restoration. For pieces designated as "Lab Restored," the process includes:

Precision Crossover Recapping: Using premium, spec-matched components (like MPT Film capacitors) to restore frequency response and clarity.

Performance Tuning: Enhancing cabinet acoustics and structural integrity where needed.

The 80-Hour Soak Test: Every restored component undergoes a rigorous "burn-in" period on the bench to ensure total stability.

Documentation: All bench work is photo-documented so you can see exactly what went into your investment.

As a retired enthusiast, I prioritize quality over profit margins. You aren't paying for "flipped" gear; you are paying for professional bench time, premium parts, and the peace of mind that comes with a 30-day limited warranty.

Local buyers are encouraged to visit the Lab for a full audition. We can run comparisons on my Adcom/Denon reference system with instant A/B switching or set them up in my dedicated home theater for a true real-world listening experience.
