In 1959, George Peck founded Pecknel Music and opened up shop on Washington Street in downtown Greenville, SC.
The family-owned business has grappled with fast-changing retail trends, struggled with messy internal issues, and twice teetered on the brink of closure. Through five decades, Pecknel's culture of dogged determination, unflagging customer service, gritty work ethic, and commitment to music education have helped the company endure the hard times and prosper during the good.
Now today's owner Jeremiah's "Nacho Supreme" continues that same commitment and has a discerning eye to ensure that every instrument in our inventory is not just an instrument but a work of art, preserving the authenticity and character that make vintage instruments so special.
