Welcome to Maxwell's House of Music, home of the social media series "If You're In A Band...", and a proud recipient of NAMM awards: 2024 Dealer of the Year, 2024 Innovation Award, 2022 Store Design, and Top 100 Dealer!
We're a full-service shop that buys, sells, consigns and trades anything music gear related. We also offer a huge variety of music lessons including but not limited to guitar, bass, drums, keyboard/piano, vocal, harmonica, ukulele, violin, viola, cello, saxophone, flute, banjo, clarinet, recording/audio engineering & even songwriting!
We also repair most stringed instruments in-store, and have rehearsal spaces available for rent!
Even though we're somewhat biased, we have one of the coolest and most unique music shops on the planet. If you happen to be in town, come say hi!
Shipping Policy
Shipping charges depends on distance. No returns on used items. We only ship within the Continental US.

General Terms
Items must be returned in original, as-shipped condition with all original packaging and no signs of use. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs unless the item was not received as described.
Special Conditions
Maxwell’s House of Music Return Policy:
New and Used Items from Maxwell’s House of Music brick & mortar store and online store:
● Return or exchange must be made within 7 days from purchase date (or 7 days from item receipt for online sales of items that are in stock and shipped from Jeffersonville, IN store).
● Items must be returned in original packaging, with original tags still attached, and with no signs of use.
● The buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs.
● The buyer assumes responsibility for a 10% restocking fee.
● If payment was made by credit card, refunds will be credited back to the same card used for purchase, less shipping costs.
● If the item was paid for by check, no refund will be made for 10 business days, and will then be issued as a check once the original check has cleared, less shipping costs.
● If the item was paid for with cash and returned, the refund will be issued as a check.
Exclusions:
● All sales are final (no returns,refunds, or exchanges) on layaways, consignments, microphones, harmonicas/wind instruments, financed sales, or special orders.
Drop Ship Items:
● Items shipped directly from our manufacturers or distributors are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. These items may remain covered by any applicable manufacturer’s warranty. Please contact the manufacturer directly for warranty terms and conditions.
