2112 Percussion was established in 1986 by Steve Johnson. We were the first drum specialty store to open anywhere in the Carolinas. Our mission from day one has been to offer our customers the finest equipment available. Now, with over 40 years in business, we know what gear is trash and what is treasure. We have access to all brands available today, but we have chosen to focus only on those that we feel offer the best quality and value. Our offices and showroom are located at 5250 Capital Blvd. in the Capital City of Raleigh, North Carolina. Our staff is one of the most experienced anywhere and have the knowledge and expertise to serve the needs of all drummers, from the beginner to the seasoned Professional. We have won numerous awards, including a 1996 Retailing Excellence Award from a leading music industry trade magazine. In November of 2002, Music Inc. honored us with a cover story about our operation. Just recently, in the March 2020 issue of Modern Drummer Magazine, our store was featured in the Retailer Profile section of the magazine. In addition, we have won numerous awards in various local Newspapers and magazines, most recently winning 2022 "Best Music Store" in the Raleigh News & Observer. While we offer an extensive selection of new gear, we also buy, sell and trade used gear. We stock used drums, cymbals, hardware, bags & cases, parts and accessories.
