Released in 1980, at the height of the analog synthesizer era, the Yamaha gSK20h featured organ, polysynth, and string sounds, and allowed users to combine these three sounds ?a groundbreaking gSymphonic Ensemble Keyboardh for its time. It consists primarily of two major types of polysynths: the organ, which generates tones using sine-wave synthesis, and the polysynths that create tones using sawtooth and square waves?rich in harmonics? to create tones via a VCF. Tone Generator: Electronic Organ Type + Analog Synthesizer Type In addition to three preset sounds, the organ section features tone bars for sound design, as well as decay and sustain switches and levers for sound design. The poly-synth section features 7-note polyphony and three presets, and allows for tone shaping via levers for filter, resonance, EG depth, and more. The strings section offers only presets, but you can choose between Preset 1 and Preset 2. Another distinctive feature is the keyboard split function, which allows you to split mark in the center of the keyboard, allowing you to play different sounds on the treble and bass sections. As a result, while the standard polyphony is 7 notes, you can produce a total of 14 notes?7 in the treble range and 7 in the bass range can be played simultaneously. In addition to the MIX output, it is equipped with organ and poly-synth outputs. It also features a Leslie jack (11-pin connector).
