For sale is an excellent condition 1962 Selmer Little Giant 5w guitar combo amplifier (with original Elac speaker) in the incredibly vibey croc skin finish. The amp is in excellent cosmetic condition having just slight surface wear from decades of general use (pictured). The amp is in perfect functioning condition, having been recently tested thoroughly (however the buyer will need to have a step down transformer to operate with US outlets). Selling as this incredibly fun little amp just doesn’t see enough use to justify the, while very small, space it takes up in the collection, and would love to see it go to a home where it will be used.The amp features an ECC83 pre-amp tube, an EL84 power tube, an EZ80 rectifier, and a single 6” Elac speaker. Designed originally as an entry-level practice amp for beginners, the Little Giant is famous for breaking up and saturating very early on the volume dial. When pushed, it produces a rich, touch-sensitive, crunchy, and fuzzy vintage British tone. Because of its distinct overdriven character, it became a very collectible studio tool for session use and was famously used by legendary guitarists like Rory Gallagher and Keith Richards.
