About this listing
Korg Poly 61, a vintage analog, hybrid synthesizer. It has a 6 voice polyphony with analog signal path with digital program control. The Korg Poly-61 was released in 1982 as the successor to the Polysix. This synthesizer is not fully operational and requires repair. This Korg is perfect for someone who has a similar item to either fix or use for spare parts. It might be perfect for someone who is more electronically knowledgeable.Cosmetically, this synth is in excellent shape for its age.The sides have been replaced many years ago with custom black painted wooden caps.I’ve had this synth for many years and it used to work. I was thinking of getting it fixed, but since then I bought a few other synths and decided just to let it go.I tested the synth to the best of my ability.I took plenty of detail pictures including inside the board.Keys are in good condition and don’t appear to be broken. All the internal parts are there and battery does not appear to be leaking. When the unit’s power is ON, the LCD main screens are not working.LED lights are responding above the program buttons, parameters buttons and arp speed, frequency, indicating unit power is definitely on.Synthesizer produces some random sounds and noises on some selected programs.Based on what I read online, the battery probably needs to be replaced and patches need to be reprogram or reloaded. Most of the buttons and encoders could not be tested in its current state however, everything used work when last time unit was still working.I didn’t go that far to test it, since I would probably need to pay someone that is more electronically knowledgeable. The price of the board reflects the condition it is in.This synthesizer comes from my smoke free air-conditioned home studio. Please look at all pictures. Sale is final. No returns. The keyboard will be packed securely and will be shipped as soon as payment is received.
