A vintage Guyatone PS-105 Equalizer Box, made in Japan.This is a wonderfully simple old-school 6-band graphic EQ from Guyatone’s early Box Series. The six sliders cover 100Hz, 200Hz, 400Hz, 800Hz, 1.6kHz and 3.2kHz, giving you a very practical range for tightening up the low end, bringing out mids, taming harsh frequencies, or pushing an amp in a completely different direction.Unlike a typical stompbox, the PS-105 has no bypass footswitch. It is designed to stay in the signal chain and continuously shape the overall tone. There is something very appealing about these early Japanese effects—simple circuitry, straightforward controls, and a character that feels quite different from modern EQ pedals.Cosmetically, this one has had a hard life. There is considerable dirt, staining, surface wear and general age-related cosmetic wear throughout. It is definitely not a clean collector-grade example, so please look carefully at the photos and expect a genuinely well-used vintage appearance.That said, the important part is that it works properly. The unit has been tested and is fully functional with no operational problems.For someone who wants an original vintage Japanese Guyatone to actually use rather than keep on a shelf, this is a great candidate.
