About this listing
I traded for this guitar recently, about five months ago. I am selling to raise money. This one is a beautiful vintage guitar, made in Guild's Hoboken, NJ factory in 1966, just before Guild moved to Rhode Island. I am the third owner. The first owner had it for the majority of its life stored in a closet de-tuned, so no stress for most of its life. It has that classic woody and bright tone of the best guitars of that era. There are no cracks, the guitar is in great shape at the ripe old age of 60. It has some dings and scratches, and I've included pictures that show them, although it is difficult to get good pictures of them, mostly because they aren't that significant and in most lighting conditions you can't really see them. I guess in my view, the scratches and dings give the instrument its provenance. It has a spruce top with a natural finish and really beautiful mahogany back and sides, a little more red than you see these days, really nice. Tuners are original. The case is the original case. I've strung it with Martin's Light (12-54) Retro Acoustic strings. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
