Overview
The short-lived Gibson Explorer Pro (not to be confused with the X-Plorer Pro) featured a lighter Mahogany body and neck with antiqued body binding. Two exposed humbuckers - 500T bridge and 496R neck - rounded out the package.
A limited run of 400 Explorer Pros were produced by Gibson for their "Guitar of the Week" series, in Heritage Cherry and Vintage Sunburst. These guitars feature dot inlays instead of the standard production Explorer Pro's block inlays.
Years of Production: 2002 - 2005, 2007 - 2008
