Overview
This exciting little stompbox from Fuzzrocious is actually a combination fuzz-phaser pedal that was inspired by the mighty Roland Jet Phaser. At the Electric Ocean's heart is a low-noise, six-stage OTA-based phaser with a vocal-like sweep that can hold its own in the absence of the integrated silicon fuzz circuit—which is switched on/off via a toggle at the top of the pedal. Next to that top toggle, you'll find an "effect order" switch, which will allow you to put phaser either before or after the fuzz for different flavors of dynamic blends. The pedal's secondary footswitch will allow you to adjust speed, and if you open the pedal enclosure, you can also adjust the phaser's resonance and feedback settings. As with Fuzzrocious' other pedal offerings, the Electric Ocean circuit is fully analog and handmade, one at a time.
