The FLEA Microphones 47 is a convincing recreation of the classic U 47 tube condenser mic, using custom house-made parts for a stunning sound for a fraction of the price of the original mics of the '50s and '60s. While available in several configurations with different tubes, capsules and power supplies, the FLEA 47's tone is one you've heard on countless records regardless of which parts are inside the mic. Absolutely incredible as a lead vocal microphone thanks to its huge bass boost from proximity effect, the FLEA 47 also excels on any and all acoustic instruments when pulled back a bit off the sound source.
