Overview
The Bock Audio 47 (formerly known as the 4-ZERO-7) is a modern swing of the vintage U 47 bat, designed and built by world-renowned microphone authority David Bock in California. Employing readily-available components and modern manufacturing techniques, the Bock 47 comes in at well under half the price of a vintage U 47 and embodies the same signature sound. With a custom-made K47-type capsule and the same tube circuit as the company's flagship 5-ZERO-7 mic, the Bock 47 brings an incredible level of detail and serious gusto in the bottom-end, making it a premier choice for close-mic'd vocals -- both male and female -- as well as a superior tool for horns and stringed instruments when the mic is pulled back a bit.
