AKG P5 S High-Performance Dynamic Vocal Microphone With On/Off Switch
The AKG P5 S feels like a natural extension of your voice the moment you grip its perfectly weighted heavy-duty metal body and feel the satisfying click of the integrated on/off switch at your fingertips. This workhorse dynamic vocal mic delivers a presence peak that cuts through any mix with articulate brilliance, making your vocals sit naturally in rock, pop, and live performance contexts where definition and punch are non-negotiable. The warm, full-bodied low end combined with crisp high-frequency clarity gives you a tonal character that flatters a wide range of vocal styles, from intimate spoken word to aggressive belting.
Audio Performance & Polar Pattern
The supercardioid polar pattern provides excellent feedback rejection that lets you move freely on stage with confidence and minimal off-axis coloration. With a frequency response of 40–20,000 Hz and sensitivity of 2.5 mV/Pa, the P5 S captures vocal nuance and articulation across the full spectrum while maintaining tight rejection of ambient noise and stage wash.
Design & Build Quality
The integrated windscreen eliminates pop and wind noise without requiring external accessories, while the 24-carat gold-plated XLR connector ensures reliable signal transmission and corrosion resistance over years of touring and studio use. An electrical impedance of 580 Ohms with a recommended load impedance of 2,000 Ohms provides compatibility with standard mixing consoles and audio interfaces.
