Totally overhauled and cleaned. Just look how clean the guts are! To find one in this condition is incredibly rare. To find one that has guts this clean and shiny like new, super rare. To find one with the original connector, even more rare. To find one with original satin case, even more rare. To find one with a diaphragm that still has full frequency response and full range low end, ultra-rare. The female Tuchel on the body is not normal either and is often male making it even more rare. Needless to say, this one is … well, quite rare. Probably the nicest one on the net to in simply fantastic shape for its age. The problem with these microphones (D12, D20, D20B, D25, D36 etc) is that after a while they are notorious for losing their low end base frequency response during fairly normal usage, mostly due to vibration, handling and even light transporting (and of course the occasional bump on the table or whack of a mic stand). Most sellers are not forthcoming and honest about the loss of bass frequency response from the diaphragm, and it is very rare to find one that has been so well kept in its case it’s whole life like this one has. If it doesn’t have a hard protective AKG or Pelican case, there's a good chance it has deteriorated catastrophically over time. This one lived its whole life in this exact case and is quite clean. It has been completely refurbished, cleaned and sounds like new. There is a slight dent in the grill as shown but hardly noticeable and doesn't affect sound at all. The diaphragm and internal guts are in mint condition!The unobtanium connector jacks are going for absurd prices these days if you can even find them (one sold the week I posted this mic for over $400!!). This one has a genuine Neutrik XLR-M jack on the other end too. Any questions please ask.
