Video: 20 Classic Les Paul Riffs in One Take

Last month, Joe Shadid dropped by the Reverb studio to play 20 classic Telecaster riffs in one take. His video featured hits like The Police's "Roxanne" and "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand, as well as tunes from artists as diverse as The Clash, Johnny Cash, Marilyn Manson, and more. Because it was so much fun the first time around, we got Joe back in the studio with a different classic guitar in his hands: the Gibson Les Paul.

In the video above, Joe strings together 20 of the most classic and recognizable riffs ever written on the Gibson mainstay in the same style he did the Telecaster. Kicking off with "Rebel Rebel" from the late David Bowie's Diamond Dogs, Joe fluidly slides into classics like "Oh Well" by Fleetwood Mac and "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith.

He also takes on crunchier, more distorted riffs like Led Zeppelin's "Heartbreaker" from the group's sophomore release, Led Zeppelin II, and Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" from 1980's Blizzard of Ozz. Joe even manages to slip in a song by Les Paul himself: "How High the Moon" from 1955's Les and Mary.

Be sure to check out all 20 songs in the video above, and let us know what you think of Joe's performance in the comments below.
