SoundCloud Announces New Integrations with Major DJ Platforms

SoundCloud announced this week a new set of integrations that will allow DJs to play and mix files from the streaming giant in real time. In an announcement made by CEO Kerry Trainor at the Amsterdam Dance Event conference on Thursday, the company revealed new partnerships with Native Instruments, Serato, Virtual DJ, DEX3, Mixvibes, and DJuced/Hercules which will give DJs real-time access to hundreds of millions of SoundCloud tracks within live performances.

The new integrations will begin rolling out next year with specifics for each to be announced at a later date.

According to a report from Variety, Trainor expressed the belief that "streaming workflows are the future" for DJs. In a statement, he went on to say that, "SoundCloud is committed to empowering creators with the best tools and resources to grow their careers, which is why we are excited to partner with these leading companies to help DJs take their workflow to the next level. ... Through these partnerships, DJs will have the largest, most diverse streaming music catalog ever assembled instantly accessible within the tools they use every day."

Earlier this week, SoundCloud also announced a new option for audio quality streams through their Go+ subscription service. This month also saw the announcement of a new monetization program for independent creators on the platform.
