Find of the Week: Eddie Van Halen's Gift to Aerosmith's Brad Whitford

It's always fun to find a piece of Reverb gear with a special history, and that's certainly the case with today's Find of the Week. This gorgeous purple Music Man EVH is an early model that was manufactured in October 1991 and is authenticated at #127.

But what makes this guitar particularly notable and special is that it was a personal gift to Aerosmith's Brad Whitford from none other than Eddie Van Halen himself. Whitford went on to play this EVH on stages across the world from '91 to 2017, and the guitar can be seen in various live videos of the band performing in that time.

This guitar was acquired directly from Whitford, whose guitar tech adjusted the neck, polished the frets, oiled the fretboard, sprayed the pots, and installed new strings in anticipation of this beauty's new owner. Everything is fully functioning, and the guitar has very little wear.

The lucky buyer will receive this Music Man EVH in a hardshell case, shipped from Seattle. It'll include its Aerosmith inventory tag on the headstock, one of Brad Whitford's custom Aerosmith guitar picks, and a certificate of authenticity signed by Whitford.
