About this listing
Very good condition 1948 Martin 0-15 in natural. This is a phenomenal sounding example of a late 40's 0-15, with all the necessary work done already to make it a very easy guitar to enjoy. This 0-15 has a beautifully full and rich low-mid range tone, while being exceptionally open and airy sounding when being played with a pick or fingerstyle. The new brass frets have plenty of life left and play great all the way up the fretboard. New bone saddle. New bridge with no bridge lift whatsoever. New bone nut. Original tuners spin well and hold tune nicely. One of the tuner posts is very slightly bent, but does not affect playability or the ability to hold tune whatsoever. This example also has a fresh neck reset and three professionally sealed cracks. 1 11/16" nut width. Just over a 3 pound weight. Neck is straight. No significant gauges in the sides to speak on. The top has a very slight warp to it from the crack repairs, but plays wonderfully and is more flat than anything. Whoever did the work on this example was very good as the inside of the guitar is very clean, and all the braces are solid and in very good condition. There is surprisingly little play wear on this example, with the small exception near the first three frets on the back of the neck as pictured. This guitar needs no work to be completely playable and sound amazing. There is a real reason why most Martin collectors love these smaller body mahogany Martins, and this one is no exception. Comes with a nice aftermarket hard shell case as pictured. Willing to ship or drive a reasonable distance. Always open to offers!
