EX RICHARD FORTUS (GUNS 'N' ROSES, THE DEAD DAISIES, THIN LIZZY...) 50s modded Estey T32 (Magnatone) owned amp

50s modded amp owned by Richard Fortus, certificate of authenticity included.

Richard described it with these words: : "It has been modded. It’s great for that vintage Estey type of bluesy overdriven sound. Sounds like it’s about to explode. Sort of like Jack White crossed with Hendrix. That’s what I used it for. Great with single coils".

It's in the 5w-20w range. Power tubes are 2 EL84, other tubes are 12AX7 (x4), 6HU8 (x1).

As far as i know it was made in the 60s but its COA says 50s.

Regarding mods (it was already modified when it belonged to R. Fortus), circuit was mostly rebuilt, with most components replaced. Original speaker, transformers, and one original pot (which dates to 1956) are still present. A fan was added to cool tubes during operation, and a three-prong power cable has been installed for safety. footswitch is included.

Since it's a heavily modded amp it works differently from its original design, so don't be surprised if some controls behave non-linearly, for example the range of reverb intensity adjustment is not very wide (but sounds great!), vibrato function gets a bit ticky (but tremolo function it's just perfect!)...in other words, you have to find their sweet spots and you'll be impressed: it sounds amazing both clean or saturated. There is an added knob on the left: Richard told me that he believes that's an extra gain stage.. so it has 2 volume knobs that makes it pretty versatile too.
