A Yamaha Paul Leim 14x5.5 snare. This is a very rare drum. This is a very very early build, Serial Number #013 from the first year of production. It has the most sought after seamless shell and is in outstanding condition. These drums are chrome over a brass shell; incredible sounding drum. Very versatile and sings at all tunings (actually quite rare in a snare). It has the darkened die cast hoops and the gold plated lugs. A dazzling drum.
This is a collector’s item and they continue to grow in value. I rate the drum as excellent but most would call it mint. Is has the original Yamaha 30 strand wires installed. In my humble opinion this is perhaps the best looking snare drum I have ever seen.
It will be very securely packed and shipped in a Levy's soft padded case, (as seen in the pics).
