This Mesa Boogie 4FB Rectifier Oversized Slant Cabinet has lived a life of luxury, or at least we assume so based on the condition.  The covering, grille, baffle, and speakers all original with no repairs or changes noted. Loaded with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers from the factory.  Removable Track-Loc casters are included. Mesa slip cover is included and in excellent condition.

The cab is a purpose-built high-gain platform, and this 2019 example is in excellent condition throughout. Four Celestion Vintage 30s in a marine-grade Baltic birch enclosure — this is the configuration that defined the sound of modern high-gain amplification. The Vintage 30's characteristic midrange presence and compressed top-end push pairs directly with the cabinet's strong twisted jute grille, which is chemically treated to filter extreme high frequencies and smooth the response. The result is a cabinet that is full and aggressive without being harsh. The oversized slant format increases low-frequency dispersion and stage coverage compared to a standard-depth box. All original, no repairs, no modifications.

The 4FB oversized variant became the go-to pairing for players who needed the full low-end displacement of a deeper cab with the projection advantage of a slant configuration.

Amplifiers: We take additional precautions to prevent common shipping damage. Depending on the amp, this may include removing tubes, pulling the chassis from the cabinet if heavy transformers present a drop risk, or removing heavy speakers that could crack baffles in transit. Reassembly is required on delivery — we label everything clearly. These measures add to shipping costs but reflect hard-won experience. Vintage amplifiers (20 years or older) are sold as-is — all amps are tested in our shop upon intake and again before shipping. We cover shipping damage but cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in instruments that are 20 to 50-plus years old.
