Neumann Telefunken KM 56 Matched Pair 1950s

This is a matched pair of Telefunken badge km56s. Original through and through, with the exception of new caps on the power supplies by the great Jim Vollentine of Coil Audio.

Sequential numbers on the power supply - 1517 and 1518. The mics themselves are 805 and 848. Mics would be found that matched up from each batch and that's why they are not sequential, but these were sold together as a pair. I had the actual frequency charts from neumann for the these mics, which showed their similarity. I will keep looking for them but I can't guarantee I will find them.

As you can see much of the original paperwork is included, as well as the original cases and the original cabling (which is not shown). Original cables were grey and they are very long as these mics needed to be ready for orchestral applications. I'm going to say each mic has a 50 foot cord. I had shorter cords made, about 20 feet, and both sets will be included. One of the connectors on one of the original power supply to xlr chords had to be replaced because it had to become too brittle to use.

As you can see from the photos there is some corrosion on one of the power supplies, and the original leather handle has dissolved a bit as well. Does not effect performance. There is a mark here or there on the mics, but they are not as noticeable as these pictures make them out to be. I just wanted buyers to get the full story. Two shock mounts made specifically for the km56 will be included. I bought them a couple years ago.
