The Thomastik-Infeld JS112 is the legendary flatwound jazz guitar string in its medium-light incarnation, found on the guitars of countless jazz icons over decades of studio and stage work. Unlike ground wound or compressed wound sets that mimic the feel, this is a true flatwound — polished nickel wrap wire drawn over a round core, delivering the glassy-smooth feel and mellow, articulate voice that defines traditional jazz tone. The plain E, B, and G are brass-plated steel; the D, A, and low E are nickel flatwound.
