Lab-Cerified NHT SW1P 8" Passive Subwoofer. Fully serviced, future-proofed, and cosmetically updated by Upstate Vintage Speaker Lab.

The certification Includes: Full Cabinet Inspection & Tuning: Internal dampening material inspected and repositioned to factory specifications to assure optimal acoustic response from the long-throw driver.

Cosmetic Restoration: Cabinet thoroughly cleaned, detailed, and touched up inside and out. It is in pristine high-gloss black condition.

Mechanical & Component Cerification: Complete woofer and voice coil inspection. The original 8-inch driver features a factory rubber surround that is intact, pliable, and structurally sound. Input binding posts have been cleaned and verified for zero signal loss.

80-Hour Lab Soak Test: The subwoofer undergoes a rigorous low-frequency "burn-in" to ensure suspension compliance and electrical stability across its full bandwidth before being offered for sale.

The Result: My 40 years of component-level experience ensures you are receiving a "bullet-proofed" passive subwoofer that sounds—and looks—better than the day it left the factory. The SW1P provides a smooth low-frequency extension down to 35Hz, which serves as a timbre-matched foundation for the NHT SuperOne lineup.

The Passive-to-Active Upgrade Option: Because the SW1P is a passive enclosure, it requires external amplification. I offer an optional, brand-new Aiyima A3001 120W Subwoofer Amplifier with an included Y-cable for an additional +$100.00. This pairing bypasses bulky vintage rack gear using a high-efficiency Class D design that easily handles the subwoofer's 8-ohm nominal load, offering an adjustable low-pass crossover directly on the front panel.

The Audition: I encourage you to test it in the Lab. I can demo it on my Adcom reference system with instant A/B switching so you can compare it to other restored setups. For a real-world experience, I can also set it up in my dedicated home theater.
