Aged Black over a lightweight two-piece ash body, worn in with a Heavy Relic flash-coat nitro finish and deep weather checking that reads like decades of hard road time. This Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition reaches back to 1950, the year Fender's very first solid-body electric arrived as the single-pickup Esquire and, a few months later, gained a second pickup. The rift-sawn maple neck is carved to a full 1950 Blackguard profile, topped by a 7.25" to 9.50" compound-radius maple fingerboard with 21 medium vintage frets and a bone nut. Underneath sit two hand-wound '50-'51 Blackguard pickups, giving you snarling early-Tele twang. Part of the 2023 Fender Custom Shop Limited run, it ships with an engraved Limited Edition neckplate, deluxe tweed hardshell case and Certificate of Authenticity.
