This 50's Baja Tele has a Seymour Duncan SM1-N mini humbucker neck pickup and Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Gilly bridge pickup. These pickups are well matched with 250k pots and the Gilly sounds like a tele despite being wound to ~28k. The previous owner replaced the S-1 switch with a standard 3-way switch and installed Fender locking tuners. I replaced these with staggered Fender ClassicGear tuners because I like vintage split posts. The headstock reaming / drilling was done well. One can easily go back to modern locking tuners or use conversion bushings to install Gotoh or other vintage style tuners. There were a couple of dark spots on the bottom of the body when I bought it (see photo) but no dings or gashes. This guitar is resonant and sounds good unplugged, and it sounds and plays great plugged in. Weight is about 7 pounds even (photo with scale showing 6 lb 11 oz was without tuners installed). The frets are in great shape and the ash grain shows nicely through the blonde finish. Stored in a smoke-free, temperature controlled environment. Comes with original Fender gig bag.
