Offered here is my original Yamaha RGZ820R Blues Saraceno Signature, manufactured in July 1993 and finished in the legendary Watermelon Plaid graphic.

Now exactly 34 years old, this is one of Yamaha's rarest and most desirable signature models. Produced in Japan in very limited numbers, it represents the very best of Yamaha's golden era of high-end Japanese Superstrats. These guitars are exceptionally difficult to find, especially in Europe, and have become highly sought after by both collectors and professional players.

This instrument combines outstanding Japanese craftsmanship, exceptional playability and one of the most iconic finishes ever offered by Yamaha.

The guitar has just received a professional inspection and setup. It plays beautifully, with the fast neck, superb resonance and excellent tuning stability these rare Yamaha signature models are famous for.

Condition

This guitar is exactly 34 years old.

Naturally, it shows honest cosmetic wear consistent with its age, but it remains in very attractive overall condition.

There is a small finish chip on the front of the body.

I deliberately chose not to touch up this area because I wanted to preserve the guitar as original as possible. Rather than attempting a cosmetic repair, I preferred to leave the original finish untouched and allow the future owner to decide whether to preserve its authentic vintage character or carry out any restoration.

Important Disclosure – Complete Transparency

Honesty is extremely important to me when selling a rare vintage instrument.

The guitar has just undergone a professional inspection and setup.

During the restringing procedure carried out on July 15th, 2026, an unfortunate accident occurred while removing the strings: one of the original saddles of the Yamaha TRS-Pro locking tremolo fractured after more than three decades in service.

The original saddle has since been carefully repaired and the tremolo is currently fully functional. The guitar plays perfectly, intonates correctly and maintains excellent tuning stability.

Rather than replacing the original Yamaha saddle with a non-original component, the decision was made to preserve the original part through a careful repair.

Everything has been fully documented.

I have retained:

• Photographs of the guitar immediately before the professional setup.
• Photographs taken during the repair.
• Photographs after the repair was completed.
• The original service invoice documenting the work performed.

I will gladly provide this documentation to any serious buyer.

Additional Information

At some point in its life, a previous owner replaced the original 3-way pickup selector with a 5-way switch.

However, the guitar was never rewired. As a result, the selector functions exactly like the original 3-way switch. The two intermediate positions do not provide additional pickup combinations.

Unfortunately, I no longer have the original 3-way selector.

Please also note that the original tremolo arm is not included.
