Hello Paiste cymbal fans.

Here we have a super rare set of vintage 15 inch Paiste 602 Sound Edge hi hat cymbals.

True survivors from the 1960s or early 70s in very light gram weights of 1039 top and 1118 bottom.

602 vintage 15 inch hats are very hard to find. In my 25 years of selling and collecting drums and cymbals I have never had a set of these until now.

These are the same series of Paiste 15 inch Sound Edge hats were played by the famous drummer John Bonham of Led Zeppelin. Bonham, according to my research, used these hats for studio recording use as well as a set of 15 inch Paiste 2002 hats for live performances. Additional research identifies that he most likely used both series of Paiste 15 inch hats for both recording and live sessions.

The hats are in excellent condition with clear readable engraved matching logos

No cracks clean edges and bells no bends or dents. Original patina finish never cleaned. Some areas are very light normal surface tarnish from age.

The bottom hat has the characteristic serrated edges that deliver a very cool crisp sizzle tone when played. The hats also provide rich warm and darker tones with outstanding volume ranges from low to high and excellent chick effect when closing with hi hat stand foot pedal.
