Vintage Yamaha YCL-62 Professional Bb Clarinet – Made in Japan – Original Case

Up for sale is a vintage Yamaha YCL-62 professional Bb clarinet, made in Japan. This is one of Yamaha’s well-regarded professional models, known for its warm, focused tone and excellent craftsmanship.

The instrument is in good cosmetic condition for its age with normal signs of use, including light surface scratches and wear consistent with regular playing. The silver-plated keywork presents nicely, and I do not see any visible cracks or damage to the grenadilla wood body. The body appears to be in very nice overall condition.

Please note that this clarinet has not been professionally serviced. It may play as is, but I would expect it to benefit from a standard playing adjustment before regular use. Several pads show age and will likely need replacement, and some corks (including the tenon corks) should be replaced. Because of this, the instrument is being sold as-is.
