The original Dr. Z Mazerati is a 30-watt, all-tube amplifier head designed as a "double-powered Carmen Ghia". Featuring a simplified single-channel layout with just Volume and Tone controls, it utilizes four EL84 (or NOS Russian mil-spec 6n14n) power tubes and a 5Y3 rectifier to deliver bold, rich headroom.
The Mazerati has evolved into three distinct variations over the years:
- Original Version 1 (V1): Built in the late 1990s and early 2000s, this version was famously inspired by a 100-watt amp request from Joe Walsh. It was essentially a louder, punchier Carmen Ghia
This amp is in really good condition and is fully functional.
