Custom Arkham Sound 40 watt all tube bass amp

So I had an idea that I shopped around for a while and I kept getting turned down until I met Micah of Arkham Sound.

Since all of my gigs are direct with in-ears, I wanted a lower wattage tube amp that could run without requiring a speaker load, and I wanted the XLR signal to the house to be post EVERYTHING, so you hear a full tube amp sound and not just a preamp. Micah totally understood the assignment and absolutely nailed it!

I know this looks like a modern B-15 which is kind of what Arkham is known for, but I‘m really not a fan of the baxandall circuit so we went full custom. The EQ is based off the Trace Elliot V6 which is my favorite tube amp ever, and the frequencies are taken from the Jad Freer Capo, which is one of my favorite preamps that I use on my gigs. 5751 tube in the first spot, 12AX7 in the second spot (both NOS vintage tubes) and 2 x JJ 6L6 power tubes producing 40 watts. Next to them is an 8 ohm dummy load that can be turned on or off via a switch in the back so you can either go speakon out to a cab or use it without a cab and just go XLR out for silent recording or straight to the board on in-ear gigs. And like I said earlier, the XLR signal is post power tubes/transformer so you really hear a full on tube amp and not just the preamp section. It sounds absolutely incredible and is one of the best amps I’ve ever owned.

Unfortunately, my band’s sound crew had to downsize, and they can no longer accommodate bringing it for me on every gig, so I’ve been forced to downsize back to a small pedal board, and this amp has been relegated to my home studio for recording. Would love to see it go to somebody who can really use it. Also included is a custom anvil road case with built in wheels that I had made for it and it’s lived inside it for its entire life.
