The Lexicon PCM 80 is a professional-grade digital effects processor built around 10 stereo algorithms covering reverb types such as Concert Hall, Plate, and Chamber, as well as combined Chorus+Reverb effects. It offers 18-bit conversion with a 100dB signal-to-noise ratio and a 10Hz–20kHz frequency response, making it suitable for high-quality studio and live processing. The unit ships with 200 factory presets across four banks and 50 user memory slots, expandable to 2,350 patches via 1MB PCMCIA SRAM cards. Stereo delay time starts at 2.6 seconds and can be extended beyond 42 seconds using 4MB SIMM modules. Connectivity includes stereo balanced jack I/O, S/PDIF digital I/O, MIDI In/Out/Thru, and jacks for foot switch and foot controller. Front-panel controls include an Adjust knob for real-time parameter editing, Go/Pro edit modes, tempo sync via tap tempo or MIDI clock, and an internal modulation patching system with LFOs and envelopes.
