Hand wired V1 version of a Friedman classic. I’ve owned all 3 versions of this amp, and this one is my favorite. It’s not overly bright or fizzy but there’s still plenty of gain on tap. Easily does Marshall crunch through hot prodded 80s metal. I’ve had versions with the added gain switch and it was never missed on this, plus it’s an early hand wired pre-PCB version. This is one of the only amps I’ve owned that doesn’t sound better running through my Fryette…a testament to how good the master volume is. And with a buffered effects loop, it’s also a pedal’s best friend (the loop also works great as a solo boost with an OD or EQ pedal).
