Gibson ES-369 — 1981

A true Kalamazoo-era rarity. The ES-369 is one of Gibson's shortest-lived and least-seen semi-hollows — an ES-335-style body paired with the distinctive "snakehead" headstock, hot zebra-coil Dirty Fingers humbuckers, and a coil tap switch for glassy single-coil tones on demand. Production figures are estimated at only around 100 units, and this 1981 example predates the official 1982 run, making it an early build of an already scarce model. The TP-6 fine-tuning tailpiece and brass nut round out the late-'70s/early-'80s high-spec Gibson formula. You will wait a long time to see another one of these.
