We built these into jack cables so you can patch them solo into your session - or indeed before / after transformers for more divine analog saturation / clipping. They're also superb after reverb, delay or multi effects units. At lower saturation settings you can hear the clarity and punch they give a mix - the kick and low mids are much more spaced and present and the highs have a sweet soft sheen. At - 8 db you can just hear the distortion creeping in adding bloom and energy - and that just gets more nuts the harder we push into them - until at 12 db they are Bass Destroyers par Excellence. You'll get superb results using something like the Airwindowns Gain plugin where you can up the input volume in tiny increments to achieve the perfect amount of overdrive for your session.
