YAMAHA NS-10 speaker was originally designed for home use, it became perhaps the most widely-used studio monitor in the world due to its incredibly accurate temporal response and low distortion. The original NS-10 was released in 1978 during the "Golden Era" of Japanese audiophile equipment production, but even today, after more than 40 years, these monitors are still found in innumerable studios around the world. The Yamaha NS-10s were used to mix countless classic records, by artists such as Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, and Hall and Oates. The “MX” version (NS-10MX) was released in 1993 and is most similar to the NS-10MPRO version, featuring an updated tweeter and magnetic shielding. It is considered by many engineers to be the best version of the whole NS-10M series.
