Offered here is a rare and highly collectible Eugene Geisler & Co. snare drum, produced in the mid-1920s during the company’s final years before evolving into the Slingerland brand. Measuring 4.5” x 14”, this 10/20 lug model features a cast aluminum shell with eight vent holes. This is an extremely rare matte black color. I've owned at least 8 of these drums and this one is in the best condition. It has not been refurbished. It's just one of those drums that was most likely bought in the 1920's, played a bit and shelved.
Despite being 100+ years old, this drum remains in outstanding condition and showcases the earl craftsmanship that started it all. The only aspect missing is the throw lever dowel. If you would like to get the part fabricated I know someone who can do it with ease. Last I recall, it's was $15-$20 to get fabricated in chrome. I just use a 25mm bolt with nuts.
This is an exceptional opportunity to own a scarce piece of early American drum-making history.
