Fender American Professional II Telecaster in Dark Night

This guitar arrived as an excellent instrument, and has now been propelled into truly superior territory with a couple of cool upgrades. The V Mod II pickups have been replaced with a Lollar J Street and Royal T. These pickups provide a powerful tone in the bridge with a sweet “Strat-like” tone in the neck. But, if you’re a fan of the stock pickups, fear not! The V Mod II set is included in the case. I also installed a set of Fender locking tuners to make string changes a breeze.

The dark night finish is really stunning! Sort of a blue to black “reverse burst” which is beautiful and mysterious. I have a Tele Deluxe I intended to keep in this finish, and it’s one of my favorites.

The guitar has been played, but remains in excellent condition. There is something on the fretboard, I’m not sure if it’s buffing compound, an imperfection, or what. It hasn’t bothered me, but I did want to call it out and take a close up photo for full transparency.

As cool as it would be to have the Am Pro II Tele Deluxe AND the Am Pro II Tele…I’m trying to thin the herd and free up some funds and space. I don’t play this one much, and decided to let it go on to have new musical adventures with someone else. But this was my first American Fender, so buy it quick before I get sentimental and change my mind!
