Resto-Mod Sonor Phonic Plus 8/10/12/16/22" Drum Set Vintage 1980s

This is a very cool, unique, and heavily modified '80s Sonor Phonic Plus kit. The variety of drums and the mods make it a great choice for gigging without worry. Included are:

• 8x8", 10x10", 12x12" toms
• 16x18" (YES - 18" deep) floor tom w/ legs
• 22x18" bass drum w/ spurs
• Double tom mount
• Generic 3/4" single tom mount

Before I purchased it, the previous owner made some pretty extensive modifications to the kit, which I've listed below:

• All drums unwrapped and finished in white gloss paint over primer
• Original badges removed, original vent holes filled, and SQ2 badges installed
• Vent holes added below tom mounts
• Internal mic jacks and mounts installed on all drums but the 8x8" (I have since removed these, but I will include the jacks, cables and any remaining mounts that I still have should you wish to reinstall them)
• Bass drum spurs have had their rear "struts" removed to allow for tighter positioning of stand tripods next to the bass drum

I have used this incredibly versatile kit on countless gigs over the past decade - from a full 8/10/12/16/22 "fusion" config to a 12/16/22 "rock" config, and even an 8/10/12/16 "jungle" config (you can mount the spurs in the floor tom mounts!) Needless to say, it's got its fair share of battle scars as a result. The finish could be very easily touched up if you wish, or would make an excellent re-wrap candidate! In addition, the chrome is not perfect (though it's in great shape for its age) with some dings, pitting, and mild plating loss in isolated spots.

There is a VERY slight ply separation on the 8x8" (visible in bearing edge photos), which could be easily closed with some wood glue.

Shipping will be VERY expensive. These drums are heavy thanks to the deep sizes and Sonor's legendary overbuilt hardware and shells. Local pickup in Chicagoland is encouraged.
